I have a crazy idea, need to hammer out some details....
Does the 450 Bushmaster headspace on the rim of the cartridge? Am I correct in identifying it can be formed from .30-06 brass?
Also, what's the proper twist for which mass of boolit? I've got a 1:16 Green Mountain blank begging to be run through with a reamer....
Speaking of reamers, I have a .45ACP reamer. Any chance I could just run it deeper for the 450B's 1.703" case length vs. the .45ACP's 0.898"? The chamber (and fired brass) would have zero taper for the last 0.808", but do you think it would cause extraction issues?
BTW, breech thrust numbers calculate to 6877 lb (force). Well below the limits of the SB-2 frame (if I squint at it, it's only 13% more than .357Max.)
Thanks for your patience,
