Hey Tim! After checking out that page, I found out alot of those links have expired and are no longer available. The only carrier I really liked that I saw was the one attached. But I Can't seem to find it anywhere. They referred to it as "Tsalams". Is that a user on GBO or is it a company?

EDIT: I just read a reply on that thread. I now see that Tsalam bought the shotshell carrier and just sewed it down to a .17/.22 caliber size.

Yup, just like Mad Dog had his buddy do, reading a thread usually is a wise move, not just looking at the pics, a fella can learn a lot that way.

Ya know quick, I haven't figured out why one of the accessory makers, like Uncle Mikes doesn't make one for rimfires. I think they'd sell a ton of em!

Suggestion Sent! You'd think with enough people emailing them about it, maybe they will start making one. In the meantime I suppose I will experiment with my soft shell holder that I used for my .45-70. Think a rifle cartridge sewn in half would hold 2 rimfire cartridges?

Couple more for the Sportster. They were chasing each other, in a tree trying to breed. Both head shot at 40 yds. I interupted their "passion play"

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful. I slipped out late morning for a squirrel hunt on some new property. I immediately spotted this gray out on a limb, sunning himself. 40+ yd. shot, and another one for the sportster.

i liked this thread so much ... i ordered a .22 sportster for myself.
it came in yesterday ...

so after looking it over .. and running - a bore snake down the barrel. i went out and shot almost 75 rounds
just plinking .
trigger is surprising good ! accurate too !
i am impressed with this little sitngle shot.

I think everyone needs a little single shot plinker. I just recieved 350 rounds for my 17HMR sportster yesterday, about to take it out today to do the final tweakings on the scope! Should have video/picture up shortly!
These are extremely well shooting break barrels. Can't go wrong with H&R Products!

Well, it hit 60 degrees here in Indiana today. Picked up a new woods, this am. Saw 5 but they were wilder than March hares!

Managed to ge t this shot at 50 yds. Red Head, DRT!

Went to another woods, and this dude committed suicide at about 40 ft!

Don't know, but this could be the end of the season, for me, depending on the weather. This makes 31 squirrels, with the Sportster, this season.

Mad Dog you should get a commission! I had been looking for a 22 to replace my Savage 6B left me by my grandfather. It is in weathered but sound mechanical shape. And this thread started me on the hunt for what seems to be a very robust rimfire! There was nothing available anywhere in Central Arkansas. Finally found a youth model on an internet site. Since I have a set of synthetic and wood shotgun stocks it should fit perfectly. Hopefully see it within the next couple of weeks.

Jason, you'll love that little rifle. Just make sure to try 5-6 different brands of ammo in it. Also, it may not have needed it, but I put a rubber O ring on the forend screw lug. I also locktited the base screws in. Have fun, and report back on how it shoots.

Dont feel to bad about ammo supply none here in alabama either.I have been trying to find any kind much less several brands to ck what a rifle likes.

Jason, ammo is hard to find everywhere. Just don't give up on the rifle, if the 1st stuff you shoot isn't as good as you'd like.

It's probably going to be quite a while (months) before 22LR's are on the shelves again. I have seen several stores with Shorts, so all is not lost.

My Sportster came in yesterday. I am very impressed. All that was available was a youth model but I have a few adult stock sets here. So after playing dress-up I settled on a synthetic montecarlo buttstock with the forearm it came with. I cannibalized the scope off my 30-30 Handi and cleaned the whole thing. Yesterday I was able to find a couple of boxes of CCI Standard Velocity and a 100 round slide top of CCI MiniMags. To save sounding foolish I am not posting what I paid. Hopefully I will be able to take my son shooting today. I did tell my 13 year old that he will have to slow down the hunger of his 10/22 with the current price of ammo. If it gets any worse we will have to tag squirrel because we can only afford a few a year!

Well, today is the last day of squirrel season, here in Indiana. Too cold and windy to hunt today. Went yesterday for about 2 hrs., between the rain showers. It was 52 degrees, but the wind was blowing 25+ mph. Didn't see a single one. However, I gave it the old college try. Heading downstairs to clean up the sportster and put it away for a while. Got a different scope I'm going to mount on it, and give it a test run in the spring. 6 1/2 mos. til the season opens again. Can hardly wait!
