They look great! I'm looking for a slug mold like that for 20ga. Can your mold maker do that? and who is it?
Thanks

Shot a bunch of them i bought from another guy on internet, i thought the same thing at first till i shot them from my ultra slug barrel. It shoots them so good i had to buy the mold.
Been shooting 20 gauge slugs in the ush, cast at.629 at 450 grain and they shoot pretty good also. So i had to buy that mold to.

The USH may take it... for now..., but being as oversize as it is,  you may have issues in the future...such as barrel rupture. there is nothing wrong with a slight oversize, but this seems a bit excessive to me. best of luck to you

jason have you mic'd your bore? i have found with mossberg barrels not all 12 ga barrels are the same size. same thing with choke tubes, they are all different, no real "standard" size. if you have a .729 or .730 bore that might be a little tight. but one of my mossberg barrels mics at .734. wouldn't hurt to check just so you know whats goin on.

Jason,

With the deep/wide lube grooves on the slug in your pic I don't think the possible swaging of a few thousands of lead in your heavy barrel slug gun is an issue.  Everyone who shoots foster slugs in a smooth bore with anything tighter than a cylinder choke is swaging a slug everytime they pull the trigger so I think you are good to go.  If you are worried about shooting these slugs please ship my your USH with a couple a hundred loaded rounds and I will test it for you. ;D   Also, if your slug was seriously oversized you would have the same problem as an oversized rifle bullet, the cartridge would not chamber.

With leads .03 oversize is nothing.  I've shot .454 leads in my .451 bore many times.  It actually helps with engraving the rifling properly if they have to be constricted some.  Just have to keep pressures safe.

This...I had to smile reading some of the other posts. Your GTG and VERY safe with a lead slug and the dimensions you mentioned...Merry CHRISTmas and good shooting....<><....:)

I have a can of Benchmark and a bag of Harvester sabots ready for those 250 grain MZ slugs.  I think about 2,250 fps ought to be about right for a +200 yard PBZ.   Plenty of time to get them sighted in before the Ohio Whitetail MZ season next month.
