" The First Cup"
« on: December 13, 2012, 02:22:58 AM »
I'm a morning person. I wake up usually way before daylight, looking forward to what the day will bring. One of my greatest joys is the best cup of the day, the first one.  ;D all the others are good but the first one, like many things in life, like first loves or our first deer is special.  :o take time this morning to appreciate & savor that "first cup" ;)

Here's wishing you the time & ability to appreciate it. Regards,
Byron

Thanks guys,
So far it's been great. Of course you never retire from God, but you reach the age where you may need to slow down. That's where I'm at.

My cup of the day this morning is "Tully's House" blend. And I have a 5 gallon bucket of oranges I picked yesterday to squeeze for juice when I finish my coffee. An't God good?

Blessings, ;D

That first cup is very special. I generally drink 8-oclock coffee, but I do like to try different kinds. I bought a burr grinder, and grind my own then use a french press pot for brewing. Right now I have been drinking Green Mountain coffee its ok but probably won't get it again because of the cost of it. I generally have three cups in the mourning hours, then one after supper. Sometimes I enjoy the evening cup as much as the first cup. Yes, God is good.

REV JIM. Many yrs ago there used to be a PEABERRY COFFEE CO in Lou Ky. They have been gone many many years. Many yrs ago we found a folded coffe box that was used for insulation in a room we remodeled. A fellow at Church said he used to drink it but it closed it's drs over 50 yrs ago, and that was 20 yrs ago.
WE buy whatever is on sale, but I do enjoy my coffee. I allow myself a cup of cappuccino every night after supper. Hills bros instant, english toffee, 3 tbsp to a cup of coffee. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D
