45-70 Scope Choice

Is there any low cost (under $150) scope available that will hold up on my 12" Contender barrel?

if you watch  ebay and gunbroker you can find used 2x and 4x leupolds for under 150 i bought 1 of each for 140 shipped a couple of months ago i've seen burris scopes in the same price range i did have to bid on 4-5 scopes before i got one for under 150.00

Thanks. It seems like a fixed power scope would be more durable. Is this true? I do have an old Redfield 2.5x pistol scope I bought new years ago. Are these pretty tough?

Simmons Gold Medal if you can find one. I see them pop up every now and then but they get snatched up quickly.
