I have just finished listening to the 2nd of his series. "Grant moves East" in this well crafted novel the south has destroyed the Army of the Potomic and has Baltamore in hand and Maryland firmly in the Confedercy But it has cost Lee dearly as he is drained of forces and far into the North with Grant now moving down into Va. He must leave his triumph and force march South as he had pulled all he could up into the battle in a move to destroy the Union army and bring the North into revolt, fear and riot and end the war. I will get the third book/tape. It is very entertaining because the writers keep the characters and their decisions and actions in sync with their know character, temperment and skills. Much Better than watching the boob tube.....It is entertainment that makes you think and appreciate how things could have gone if but for some minor factor or consideration. JB
