Redhawk barrel thread separation....serial # range?
« on: February 12, 2013, 07:38:37 PM »
Does anyone know if Ruger ever offered a range of serial numbers for the Redhawks that were incorrectly lubed/torqued? Just wondering if the #503-11XXX blued model I bought today is one of 'those'?
Also, the very early Stainess Redhawk I found and purchased right after the Redhawk was first released had a 'tight spot' in the barrel right where it went through the frame. THIS blued RH has no tightness whatsoever that I can detect with a TIGHT patch running through...the same method I used to feel the tight spot in the first RH I had.
Hopefully I've got a shooter.
