Rain
« on: December 16, 2012, 01:00:47 AM »
A week ago, we had 14 inches of snow. The last couple of days it has been misting and raining. While this is more to my liking, its got to be awful hard for the guys trying to foothold land canines and bob cats.

I don't have any traps out but I agree making mud pies then having them freeze at night would be no fun. Just a big pain to try to keep things working. Even if a guy was in the water like you would prefer. With the rain it would be bouncing up and down making that a pain too. I'm starting to think I might have missed out on some easy beaver here on the river. I just didn't think the water would stay open or level. Can make nothing but grief if ice is to thick for the boat to break, but to thin to walk on.
