I'm going to guess that the actual maker was Rheinmetall Denel Munitions. They make a lot of the surplus powders you see for sale on the internet. They are an actual maker of military ammo but a lot of what you buy here as surplus military is actually from S Africa, not US military. Most of the WC 872 and faster burning surplus powders are from them. Start low and work up using the Unique data but be advised, you need a chronograph for most pistol loads. It won't build pressure like a rifle and looking at the primer for pressure can be misleading. Especially when a lot of the pistol cartridges max pressure will not flatten or begin to have any effect on the primer. Example: a 38 Special max pressure at 17,000CUPs will not deform a primer at all. The gun will be in pieces long before the primer shows any signs of pressure. Be safe, not sorry.
