How for from tree stand do you put your corn for Muzzle loader, Rifle , Bow Hunting

don't use corn anymore.
when i had some feeders out a few years
ago, i would have been better served with a
sign that said" poach right here! owner is gone!
deer will be along momentarily"
that and it seems crows can spot yellow corn
grains on the ground from waaaaaay off.
if you want to feed and hunt the feeding spot
i would suggest at least 50 yards or more away
depending on terrain. i'm assuming here
you're referring to rifle hunting.
i try to use funnels or terrain to bowhunt.
if i put out corn or grain i posthole it now.

Depends on the cover, wind, travel patterns of the deer. I have hunted with in a few yards of my feeders in thick cover. Presently my feeders are 150 and 230 yards from my stand. I am shooting from my porch across open pasture.

Corn is bad for deer anyway.

Racoons, squirrels, and hogs like it, too.  As someone else said, corn isn't really good for deer.  And in Mississippi it's illegal to shoot deer over bait.  So, I don't use it.  (Lots of people do, though.)

been feeding deer in Va. 5 years. cost has been around $15.000.00 i am done. corn is just too high. i love watching them. i used to hunt them . not any more.

     We have several feeders on the place here ftom 35 yds to 100 yds with areas for food plots the feeders are set to draw the deer into the game cameras so we can determine what deer are staying on the place and to see any new deer that may be passing thru. as far as cost goes I dont keep up with it anymore as it is high and if I actually knew what we spent I might quit feeding, the best thing to help the deer is food plots but this year we didnt build any due to the drought, here it is legal to hunt deer over feeders ( I dont use the term BAIT ) on private land but not on National forest land, and the term BAIT cvan be used for a oak tree, apple tree, etc, etc.  Jim
