Got my Classic Carbine .45 Colt today
« on: December 21, 2012, 02:44:17 PM »
This little carbine is a cute little thing. Shot it a couple times and see I need to adjust the sights a bit. Hey gcrank, I sent you  a PM about slugging the bore 'cuz it is a long question !
The forearm on the carbine is very nice, but  not aligned just rite. I was able to get the wood away from the barrel by taking a little off and did install an "O" ring. Will put a Burris scope 2.5x on it. When I get the bullet size determined, I will get it zeroed.
No sling attachments on this rifle. May hook up a loop on sling.
Pete

Got mine a few weeks ago. Reamed it to 454 Casull. The forearm was touching on one side but a little sanding fixed it. I really like it.
I have more guns than I need, but not as many as I want.

Anyways, rdlange...where did you get them .454 bullets? You make 'em. I looked around for some vendors and have not seen them for sale.

I love mine.  Leaving it at .45 Colt.  Now I need a wheel gun to go with it ;)   I did change the butt stock to a MC checkered walnut because I need a scope......and I like the recoil pad ::)

Me and a bunch of others here paid $247.99 or less shipped from CDNN year before last, they sold over 300 on closeout for $199.99-219.99 at that time, unfortunatley they haven't been made since 2008.  :(
