Anchorage is balmy.....
« on: December 29, 2012, 04:20:07 PM »
Just got a text from my daughter, it's 46 degrees in Anchorage. Looking at 25 degrees and snow in southern Michigan....what's wrong with this picture... ;) ....She's been slowed down a little with ACL repair surgery over Christmas, still loving it up there. The short daylight hours are different, I check the FAA web-cams every day trying to get a feel for it, I suppose living there awhile you don't think about it as much. Happy New Year!

it was really nice today, nearly as warm as a summer day and sunny.    Took the boys out to a local lake and caught a mess of trout.

yeah its nuts - warm and windy in Bristol Bay.  I had hoped to get my youngest out looking for moose but not in slush rain and wind. Get soaking wet and too easy to bog the snogos.  I'm sure some of the more hard core are out but I'm chicken.  Don't want to be dropping into creeks/lakes either. Wish it would chill down to the 20's - that would be perfect.
