Glock 21 Gen 3
« on: April 09, 2013, 02:06:38 AM »
There's been a used Glock 21 at the local gun shop that's been winking at me for about 3 weeks.  I finally couldn't stand it anymore and put it on layaway!  It's a little rough around the edges, it's a service trade in.  I figgure it will be a good project gun.  I'll "wet sand" the bottom of the trigger guard where it's marked up.  The slide can be replaced or I may just clean it up and use it like it is, it's just got a little holster wear.

I got a 17 in poor shape like that. The bbl was so worn it had a grove where it locked up. I replaced the guide rod and spring with a SS one and the bbl with one of conventional rifling so I could shoot lead bullets. But the old bbl, spring and rod still worked. Mine was first gen. I got it to see how long the plastic frame would last age not round count ( though this one must have a high count) . The frame is worn slick and the slide is also being a dark silver instead of black.
Your 45 should be a great gun.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Both of you know not to run a classified thread on a discussion forum.  If it comes back the thread will be locked.
