A "Spanish" Decorator Cannon
« on: January 06, 2013, 02:53:14 AM »
Take a look at this upcoming auction-I have seen a few of this exact model, usually advertised as "original" and supposedly dug up near St. Augustine.  Well maybe they were dug up in a N. FL flea market, but certainly not excavated.  Take a look so you aren' t fooled.  The too-long trunnions are often a give-away.  Any time you aren't sure about a cannon, just send me photos, I advise individuals and some auction houses on this stuff quite often.

Funny how when an unsuspecting buyer gets scammed by a fake, they never have a problem trying to sell it to ANOTHER unsuspecting buyer to recoup their money.
