New grips for my RV's
« on: February 14, 2004, 11:16:16 AM »
Since my RV's are caseharden/blue I didn't want to go with fake ivory or the like.  Liked the wood look but the orginial grips were plain and had the Ruger logo, too.
Went out to Ajax grips and found their Cherrywood ones.  Shine pretty much like they show in the picture.

These are laminated up and look quite nice.  Took just a bit of sanding on at the top on both 90° sides of the grip (and just on the right one of both sets.  They go for $40 per set and since Ajax and I both are in the Republic I had tax, also.  Just under $100 for both RV's

ÇR

p.s. If you do e-mail them be sure NOT to use "RV" rather tell them the grips are for a Ruger Vaquero--they had no idea what an RV gun was--maybe a gun for a RV motorhome??
