KEITH BROWN GRIP DISCUSSION
« on: December 18, 2012, 02:04:40 PM »
In the remake of the M28 a part of this will be a set of Keith Brown Ropers.
I will get the Ropers in Walnut with a diamond inlay.
The question or discussion is what color to make the inlay.
Below is a picture of the grips, with both Ebony and Ivory inlay. I kind of like the Redhart for an inlay---Keith thinks this may be gaudy. My second choice is Birdeye Maple--which Keith likes. He said he has never been requested to do the inlay in either the Birdseye or Redhart.
What do you think?

Keith Brown makes some drop dead gorgeous grips. William, I personally like the Ebony inlay. I'm sure whatever you get will be beautiful.

Aw, come on William.  After the action tuning, dehorning and hard chroming what's another couple hundred for the turquoise?

You got to admit turquoise diamond inlays would sure be pertty.

Bill, my vote goes for the Ebony wood(blacker the better but, none of the stripped stuff) with Ivory inset.

Since this will be an ongoing project, this M28 will wear a pair with birdseye maple.
I will get a pair of these Kearsarge in a yet unannounced wood for a safe queen Colt Python which now wears a pair of lace up high top shoes.
I still want one with the gaudy red diamond  ::) . I do like red   :o .

Do a search for kbgrips.
There are some factory made that are good--butttt--these are special and carry a good reputation from the boys.
