I thought the Remington 750 was a semi auto not a pump.

Bringing back a old thread!

7600 rifle 6mm Remington. Have not set up this rifle yet. Only fired it with the factory sights.

7600 rifle 257 Roberts. This rifle is all set up with a 3X9 Nikon Pro Staff scope with Warne QD mounts and a leather sling. Rifle shoots very well but I have never hunted with it.

7600 rifle 25-06 Remington. This is the current Grice's special run in cool blue laminate. Had one in the same caliber in the gray/ black laminate stock but traded it away to fund the 257 Roberts.  I have a Nikon 3X9 Pro Staff, Warne mounts, and swivels all ready to set this gun up but have not had the time. Still need a leather sling. Hope to get this ready for this fall.

7600 rifle 7mm-08 Remington. This rifle is all set up same set up 3X9 Nikon Pro Staff, Warne QD mounts and leather sling. It is one of the anniversary editions with ugly engraving on the receiver. Rifle shoots very well but I have never hunted with this one either.

7600 carbine 30-06 Springfield. This rifle is my sons. It is set up with a 2X7 Nikon Pro Staff, Warne QD mounts and leather sling. My son has a slim build so he shot the Remington managed recoil ammo when he first started with this rifle. Now he shoots the standard 180 grain load and this rifle is a deer killer.

7600 rifle 35 Whelen. Same set up 3X9 Nikon Pro Staff, Warne QD mounts and leather sling. This is my #2 gun. Killed a small buck, several does and a yote with this rifle.  It is sighted in with 200 grain standard Remington loads and shoots very.

7600 carbine 35 Remington. 2X7 Nikon Pro Staff, O/U scope mount and leather sling. This is my #1 gun. Killed my best two bucks with this rifle 2005 and 2007. Since then I killed two small bucks and several does. This is my go to gun. Sighted in with standard Remington 200 grain loads. With the heavy carbine barrel it will put all of the shots into the same enlarged hole between 50 to 100 yards, my killing zone.

All of my 7600's have walnut stocks and blue finish. All are in pristine condition except the 35 carbine that shows some honest hunting wear.

I obviously favor the Nikon scopes and Warne QD mounts. I have taken the scopes off the Whelen when doing deer drives or in bad weather. I also use standard Remington loads in all of them.

I own lot's of other deer rifles but the pumps have been my favorite since 2003 when I bought my first one the 35 carbine.

Looking for two more to finish out my collection. Would like to find a 300 Savage and a 260 Remington.

If Grice's did another run on the 35 carbine in either blue of matte I would buy either or both.

Each year I write to Grice's recommending a carbine in 358 Winchester but I doubt it will ever happen.

These guns are fun to shoot and have given me much joy.

Mike.

I added a 7600 carbine in 35 Rem with the matte finish and plastic stocks.

My intentions were to re-chamber this in 358 Win but I am waiting for funds.

Wanted to do it for a upcoming bear trip but it might have to wait.

Mike103,
Hand load that bad boy to it's full potential and you won't need a 358 Win.  I have the 22" version 7600 in 35 Remington and I get an honest 2400fps with any 200 grain bullet.  My standard load for my 22" 358 Winchesters runs at 2450fps and the carbine 358 Winchester does 2400fps!  Try some +P+ loads before spending your money on a rechamber.  The action will handle 35 Remington +P+ loads, afterall, the 7600 is chambered in the 270 Winchester.

I had my Winchester 62A out yesterday. It been in a back corner of a safe for too long.

I recently learned this is a first year production model 62! It was my grandfathers, he bought it new in 1932 and literally shot out the original barrel! He returned it to Winchester in the late 40's or early 50's and they installed a 62A barrel and pump and re blued the gun. FACTORY JOB! Know I'm in Connecticut and so was Winchester back then. He had friends in both Winchester and Remington. I still have Remington ammo he used to get from Remington in Stratford. As a boy I remember going to one of these guys home the. To Lordship to shoot a couple rounds of trap.

Anyhow here is a couple pics of this beautiful old rifle!

I recently added a Savage 170 Carbine in 30-30 to the rack it functions flawlessly.  The bore is pristine and the stock is a good solid no cracks just a small chip on the fore end and about as 75 percent on the finish the metal is also about 75 percent a few small surface pits and a thin spot or 2 on the edges. I have wanted one of these for years and though they were not that popular they don’t come up very often I stole it for 140 out the door cleaned it up the thing was full of gunk I suspect a WD40 user put a 1.75 X 5 X 20 Simmons on it and going to use it this season using 170 Rem factory it runs 1.25 to 1.75
