I just bought a weatherby 270 mag. barrel for my thompson encore, it's 26". I was looking for some input on which bullet would work best in it for whitetails, I live in east tennessee so my shots will be pretty close 50 to 150 yards, deer are in the 125 to 200 pound range. I want a bullet that will realy put it on them, alot of expansion, I try and always sholder shoot them.I was thinking about the barnes in a 140 grain, they are factory loaded from weatherby. They also have a 130 grain, any info will help alot, ron :?
