I've stuck with Goex for several years now. I am well aware that there are powders that perform slightly better, or are slightly cheaper, but I don't shoot enough for either to matter. Goex performs well enough in my rifles, and even saving a dollar a pound only saves three dollars per year. While the more expensive powders offer about the same cost increase, I am satisfied with what I am using. That's my take on it. If ya just want to try something else, try it. If you just want to save a few bucks, use a lighter load. When the cost savings works out to the cost of a full pound of powder (for high volume shooters) it might be worth trying a few less costly powders.
