Remington Military Rolling Block Rifle - First Look
« on: October 22, 2012, 05:23:01 AM »
This is a first look at a Remington military Rolling Block rifle I found at a Gun show in Louisville recently. It is chambered for the .43 Spanish cartridge. It is in pretty good shape for a gun that is almost 140 years old. We'll review the features of these rifles, and take a few shots before sending it off to the gunsmith for a trigger job.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSorXbSuEvA

Yo Mike!

How long until we can expect an update on this one?

I would love to find an affordable RB in that shape!  Always wanted one...  ;D

Cuts, it will be after the SHOT Show. I'm pretty heavily booked until then.

Simply changing out that military trigger spring, to a lighter one will do about as much for the trigger pull as anything else that can be done.
KIK 1.5 sparked with large pistol primers will be your friend in that 43.
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

Here's some trigger pulls for comparison:
* 1873 Argentino - 43 Spanish .... 11# 5oz
* No 1 1873,  50-70 ... 5# 15oz
