Baby its cold outside

 With temps below zero, I have to wonder how you guys are doing.
 I know on the last beaver job,Mike and I were awful careful--not to stumble and take a frigid bath. Had to keep dunking my safety grippers in the water to get it--unfroze.

Been doing next to nothing with this cold, Got no work at work so they cut my hours.  Ice fishing around here have been very slow.  I will finally get out on the ice next week and go after some beavers and some muskrats :)

I pulled all my under ice sets before the deep freeze. I will reset this weekend as the temps moderate.

Boggy  you want to see whats cold, go out now and  chop and set up underice bvr sets....tis a mans job for sure....... :)

Boggy i know, i know but the thing is to go out now at  our age and put our shoulders to the test with the spud!   Can you feel the love in your shoulders , just thinking about it....LOL..... I will let you know Sunday nite...Send me Advil quick... ::)

We pulled our under ice baited body grippers and our pushup sets Sunday in the -20 below windchill and before the -10 temps came. We had 4 rats froze in the ice so we know the pushups were not active anymore but what a job chiseling those out!!! My first year of  "hard water" rat trapping and it is good excercize. In 7 checks we got 44 nice winter rats. The area was trapped hard in the fall and we were setting over a big area so we are not going back in that marsh again this year.
