The 4" is my favorite size 1911 platform pistol. I'm down to two in that size, a Kimber Pro Carry SS, and an old IAI two tone. The Kimber shoots as well as any 5" I've owned, and better than most. Both are reliable. If I had to get rid of all but one of my 1911s, I'd keep the Pro Carry.

I saw the Remington 1911 in a gun shop but they did not have the Ruger. Today on Buds Gun Shop page they do have the Ruger enhanced available, I forget the price but reasonable. Funny how availability varies.  I had to keep myself in check to not buy the Ruger since I just bought an Commander size 45 from Buds. awaiting delivery.
