:?: I thought it would be easy to extend the length of pull, by removing recoil pad, installing spacer. However, the way the pad fits inside the stock has created a problem. Does anyone have a practical way to extend the length of pull by a 1/4" or so?? THANKS!

I just used a slip on recoil pad.

I recently put a pad from a synthetic stock on a walnut stock. I cut that plastic ridge off with a razor knife. A Dremel would work also.
