Diver helps Dolphin entangled in fishing line
« on: January 27, 2013, 01:46:19 PM »
Diver Saves  Dolphin, January 23 2013 ,

The Dolphin was entangled in a fishing line inhibiting Fin movement and cutting into it's fin . The encounter to cut away the line took about eight minutes during which time the dolphin would surface get air and return to the diver so he could continue to help free it from the line from its fin. Tell me they are not intelligent !!!!

While in Hawaii , My better half and I were able to swim among a pod of about 70 dolphin.
They came in chasing schools of fish, parted and swam all around us while we were diving off Oahu.

Quite a Spiritual day.

Here is the full 8 minute encounter

I've always wondered if dolphins and especially whales, were possibly just as smart as we are in some ways and way smarted(or better designed) than we are in others. For all we know, whales could be human like intelligence stuck underwater in a body with no limbs or digits, no way to transmits their thoughts to us, because we're to dumb(or differently designed) and can't understand what they're saying. I also have wondered at times if we have just grown apart from them as technology advanced us. In simpler times ages ago I have thought we were probably more attuned to the creatures, more connected with the earth and all it's creatures such as whales and Dolphins

Perhaps we are the ones who have lost the ways in which we once interacted and communicated. Perhaps they have not given up on us and are waiting patiently until that time comes round again when we will find those lost communication skills again.

In simpler times ages ago, I wonder if ancient men thought dolphin tasted like chicken.
