Well I'm not ashamed to say YES. I was very surprised to learn of it, since I have never been one for the black rifles, blackpowder yes, AR's just aren't my thing. Had an AR-15 back in the '80's, found it remarkably accurate, but I just have no use for it. So I felt safe from any new ban. But there the very first item on the list was my M1 carbine. Hey! that's not an assault rifle, it's a tribute to American Industrial ablity to win a war. But that bill lumps them into the wrong catagory. What is an "assault weapon"? It's whatever they want to call it. Oh and my Winchester Camp Defender with 22" barrel is an "assault weapon" because it has an 8 shot magazine. Ever since I've owned it there has been a plug in that magazine to reduce it to the 3 shots legal for hunting in Colorado but it is capable of holding eight.
