Updated yesterday at 8:21 PM       (ABC News) -- JetBlue Flight 185 from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport to San Diego was forced to land at Denver International Airport because of what JetBlue called an “unruly customer.”

A female passenger seated in the plane’s premium section became upset when a male passenger was moved to the seat next to hers without paying extra because his original seat’s TV monitor broke, passengers told ABC affiliate KMGH-TV. When the woman began arguing with the flight crew, an air marshal became involved.

The airline told police the woman was uncooperative and verbally abusive to the man seated next to her, Denver Police spokesman Lt. Matt Murray told KMGH-TV.

“The aircraft landed safely at Denver International Airport at 7:15 p.m. local ,” JetBlue told ABC News in a prepared statement. “The customer was met by local enforcement officers.”

The Transportation Security Administration, Denver police and the FBI met at the aircraft to remove the women from the flight, part of standard operating procedure, said Laura Coale, the director of media relations at Denver International Airport. The remaining 136 passengers were questioned by law enforcement about the incident and were able to get off the plane to “stretch their legs,” before re-boarding.

The flight departed from Denver International Airport at 9:15 p.m. and landed in San Diego at 10:38 p.m.

The “unruly” woman was able to catch a different flight to San Diego, KMGH-TV reported.

No charges have been pressed and the incident was deemed a customer service issue.
