Everywhere is most likely sold out with the gun grab going on. Ebay has some, looks like they are trying to make a buck on them. So it just depends if you want one now or can wait awhile. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=cmmg+conversion

As far as worth using? They save quite a bit of money and are reasonably accurate.

Sorry I don't know where to find one, but I can tell you I have been very happy with my stainless steel cmmg kit.  The stainless steel makes cleanup a lot easier and imo is worth the extra money.  You probably won't get match accuracy, but mine will shoot remington subsonic ammo into 1 inch at 25 yards.  This is through a 1:7 twist barrel.  I tried my kit in a colt sp1 that has a 1:12 twist and accuracy was a lot better.

My kit has been extremely reliable.  It has actually been the most reliable 22 I have used.  The point of impact will probably be lower than 223 ammo.  I turn my A2 sights up to the 500 meter mark and that puts me dead on at 25 yards.  These kits will gunk up your rifle so cleaning after each use is nesessary.  I have been happy with mine and would recommend the kit to anyone.

Do yourself a favor and get your M&P a little brother... The M&P 15/22 is a sweet little gun, I liked it so much I got a second.  I thought about a conversion kit, but heard from lots of guys how the accuracy it terrible, they are hard to clean and they are nearly as expensive as the 15/22.  Go over here and sort through some of the posts and see how much guys like these things.  They function flawlessly with any ammo that I've tried, clean easily, fuction just like an AR, are pretty darn accurate and are a blast to shoot.  It comes out of my safe more than any other gun I own.  Damn, I should get paid by S&W....

Unfortunately a lot of talk these days are of the lack of ammo and mags for the thing, but that is starting to ease.
