What are my options for a .35 Remington Handi Rifle?

What are the options for .35 Remington in a Handi Rifle?  It doesn't seem like H&R makes them at the moment.

Haunting pawn shops and watching the on line gun auction sites is, unfortunately, are currently the only options I can think of.  There is always hope that maybe they will choose to make another run as it seems like they have done so in the past once every few years.  I don't understand why they don't just always keep some chambered barrels in stock for all the rounds they have marketed in the past and maybe they do keep some on hand for warranty work but not enough to sell them in the additional barrel program.

You could always rechamber a 357 mag barrel , you would have to swap out the ejector but thats not a real big deal either .

What stimpy said, if done on an ejector barrel you'd need to do the rimmed to rimless modification(FAQs) as well, on an extractor barrel just the extractor swap would be necessary.

If goin to the work of rechambering and changing the extractor i would skip the .35 rem and go to .356 win.

Didn't think about reaming a 357 barrel to the 35 Remington.

I don't know how bad ammo prices have become after this second round of madness, but even the .35 Remington is going to be well over a buck a shot I would imagine.  The .356 and .358 ammo WAS, before this, 55 bucks a box of 20.  I haven't got a clue where it would be now, but it isn't popular like the .223.  If you don't reload, now is the time to seriously consider it.  Things aren't going to get any better for quite a while....if ever.

If all you're interested in is factory .35 Remington performance, you can get that much out of a .357 Maximum too.

I load, I just want common, easy to find components.... plus, I was thinking about eventually getting a Marlin in .35 Remington.

The 35 Rem is that and it is a good one all by its self!! I like the 35 cal too! From the 357Mag on up the the 358 Norma!!  GREAT lineup!!

Its not 107years old for no good reason, Its a keeper for sure!
