i'm new to using snares i've set a few with no results.i have a good number of reds n coons on the farm just no luck.what r some good sets using snares for foxs n coons and also bodytraps for coons.

I put mine in trails being used by fox, coon, or whatever im trying to catch. I support them with 9 gauge wire and stake them with re-bar stakes. I usually snare yotes and I put mine about 8 -10 inches off the ground for yotes. Someone else can tell do how high for fox and coon.

Since yoou're in Jersy you ought to get with Newt Sterling...he is one h@#$ of a snaresman and will be your best bet. He has a web page dang I think it is Snaresone maybe RdFx or Rascal or Boggy will know.

Adam you where offered help at NJDUCKS all you had to was get your Lic.
If you read the game laws and took the class, you would know we cannot use Bodygripping traps above high tide mark. You are trapping an area where there are alot of pets. You screw up and kill someones pet it makes us all look bad. Why don't you take the trapping course next year and start then.
