Custom encore barrel's, custom work
« on: February 16, 2004, 05:17:00 PM »
Has anyone had any barrels or work done with www.inextinc.com, the weatherby man? He is building me a 26" s/s 300win, that is fluted for my encore. His barrels are match grade, air gauged shilen barrels.

buckenbass, Im just curious about that 500 S&W bbl.  How long is it?  Have you any velocity data from it?  How is the recoil?  Im asking only because I want to big bore project gun someday and I have interest in the possibiliteis of the 500 S&W.  My other choice is the 50/70 from VV, but Im thinking of holding off only to try and save some buckos and get it with an octagoned barrel and a schnable fore end.

It's a 12.5" ss with a removeable break and threaded ring to shoot with the break off..  I dont have a crono.
The kick  with the break on is less then a 454 ..With out well it hurts..
I stayed factory forend
Im going to start reloading this spring so if any light loads out their please post them
