WORDS
« on: February 07, 2013, 12:41:52 AM »
I read topic headings and wonderabout the stability  of the person pushing the keyboard.
We use words that sound tough---I wonder why the need to feel so. It is obvious that the attempt is to show disrespect and toughness.
A coward is no more a coward if you call him a F-------Coward, neither is a Liberal or anyone else. Now all these verbs being flung about is to draw attention to the user--not the subject natter. I wonder how lonely this person must actually be that he/she has to yell these things into cyberspace to get the attention they crave,
Soap Box is clear.

Do you really not know William? I think most would be far more polite face to face, that just human nature, and in some case smart.
However, one can be anything here, that one is not in reality. An example here is myself. Here I can pretend to be young, handsome, charismatic, and really, really smart.
In reality? Not so much.
By the way I'm in Houston this mornin.

They are called "keyboard commandoes". They are tougher, smarter, richer etc than the mere mortals who post. Instead of making a clear concise post, they like to belittle other people to feed their egos. Name calling is much easier than facts or logic when chatting on the internet.
Face to face communication, they will agree with whatever the majority says.

Gee , I thought it was just the way folks talked  ;D . You think they are putting on a dog and pony show ?
It all seemed somewhat normal really but then I have worked construction for 40 years. I've heard much worst face to face and by some really big fellows . Seen it backed up also. On the net I figure some are what they seem and others are trolls in pink undies playing macho man. (  I've said that face to face before and everybody laughed  ).
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
