Hello everybody I am a trapper from Illinois and here is my experiences with the wumpus cat
Now my grandma lives in tiskilwas illinois and she had been hearing some god awful screams from down in her gully now this is enough for her and she decides to tell me about it thinking I would know what it is because I am a trapper now this is like nothing i have ever heard of in my life the kind of thing that just makes you blood run cold then things got really weird now my grandma has a big window in the front of her house and is usually watching for wildlife out it one night she sees this cat run accross the road and into the gully this was no ordinary cat she recalled it as a cat about the size of a medium dog she knew it was a cat by the way it walked it had a pushed in face and a bobed tail instinctivly when she was saying this im thinking its a bobcat cause people have started seeing them around here now well then she says how it stands about 3 to 3 1/2 feet tall and was definintly the biggest cat she has ever seen she told me she swor to god it wasnt a cougar or a bobcat now this started to freak me out so I was sitting there got thinking about it and looked it up online the description online matched it perfectly so this had me wondering if we could catch it i didnt figure we could but one day i was out working in the gully pulling out old dead trees and wat not now i was the one looking everything up i was the one who wanted to catch him I was the one always looking for it but i was pulling up some branches when my blood ran cold I got suddnly terrified and I could tell something was watching me i could hear this deep breathing and everytime i would move it would follow but if i stopped it would hold still now my instinct is to run away from it i slowly backed out of the gully and took off for the house i knew it was him watching me i knew it was probably intending on harming me I never did go back to that gully unarmed I set a few live traps out trying to catch it no luck i was always armed in that gully from there on out no luck catching him my grandma still hears those shreiks in the night and has seen the cat very often recently has seen it 3 times in this last month it always shows up when visitors or someone new is there i know its looking for me this creature did not want to be exposed and i did it so now it wants its vengence and that is my story of the wumpus cat i will never return to that gully
