First Time Ejector Tune Questions

I received a brand new 22LR for Christmas. :)  The ejector did not eject at all to start, but with a good blast of break cleaner and a light oiling it is ejecting a couple feet after working the action for a while.  Pushing the ejector in and out with the barrel off it feels gritty and like it's catching.  I want to attempt (key word!) an ejector tune.  Do the pins need to come out in a certain order?  I couldn't find that in the FAQ.  Any other tips?   I hoping all it needs is a good polishing with some flitz and a BB on the spring.

Your on the right track. Pull it apart and clean debur the parts and you will soon have it sending empties yards behind you!!

Control F or F3 lets you search key words..

Only the rear pin needs to be removed from the underlug to remove the ejector claw to do the ejector tune, see the ejector drawing in the FAQs. CW's link pertains to extractor modifications which has no relevence for an ejector.  ???

My bad, guess I copied the wrong link...  :-[

But my point is, in the FAQ's search with F3 and use key words and you will find what you seek... bad links or not  ::) :P

Thanks!  I didn't think I need to remove all the pins but I couldn't find the answer in the FAQ.

It can be quite daunting there is SO MUCH info there... BUT the search feature is something that makes it a breeze. That why its made SO BOLD at the start... ;)

Finally go to try my new 22lr yesterday.   It will now eject over my shoulder, but not very far.  What I did was I removed the ejector claw and gave it and the chamber a good polishing.  The ejector spring would not come out with the claw removed.  Was I not forceful enough with the spring?  Any trick to getting the spring out?  I thought it would more or less fall out. ???

Worst case scenario is remove the forward roll pin and push it out, usually you can use a pointed tool to access it from the latch slot and force it to the rear, never had one I couldn't get out. They get kinda kinked which makes em hard to remove, it also reduces they strength. :-\
