You're going to find these little lightweights aren't compatible with the AR barrels in 1-7, 1-8, and 1-9 twist.  I've in the past tried to run 50 grain SX bullets and had them turn to dust just outside the muzzle.  If you do the math on a slug traveling at the velocities the little pills are capable of at AR twist rates you'll understand the problem.

I was given a box of 250 VG in 50gr. I couldn't make them shoot out of any 22 caliber rifle at all. I tried 22-250, 223, 222, 221, 219 Zipper, and a 225 Winchester. The best "group" was from a 223 with a 1:7" twist and that was a 4" group at 100 yds. Hardly worth loading. I also had issues with them coming apart before they got to 25 yds out of the quick twist. These bullets have a reputation of not being accurate which is kinda odd since varmint hunting is usually long range and targets are small. Best thing I can tell you is to try them. May work just fine in yours but I'll give you a warning. They will not shoot thru a spider web or fog. If they encounter anything in flight including a bug or dust, the bullet will not get there. Best of luck.

Thanks for the input... I have tried them before and did not get much luck before ...I thought it was just me, but i gues they are inherently not the most acurate... i guess it just gonna be one of those rounds yiou use to just shoot beer cans at 25-50 yrds ....Thanks again.

I run them in a 16" RRA 1-9" twist with superb accuracy.   I used the Lyman 49th edition book to work up loads .   AA2230, BL-C(2) and RL-7 all gave 5 shot groups under 1" @100 yards.  BL- C(2) gave the best velocities while RL-7 gave the best accuracy.

Hey guys went to the range and shot some of the Varm. Grenades, And it was  not as bad as i thought but still not as good as i would like. I used varget and H4895 and i was getting 1-2 " groups .......So i am going to try some differnet combos in loading it ...

Wow, I'm surprised that these bullets stabilized in your AR. I've played around a lot with bullet weights and different barrel twists in ARs and I would have said that there was no way these would hit paper consistently at 50 yards.  That said, while reading your post I got to thinking about the H4895 and that you may be able to reduce the powder load more and gain some additional accuracy.  Let us know how your new loads work out.

Blessings

Paul

these bullets are lead free and are long for weight. 36gr bullet = length of a 55/60gr bullet.  which is why the faster twist barrels can shoot them with some accuracy.
