Well, it seems perfectly logical to me.  Our Marines are trained to kill the enemies of our country.  Right now the biggest enemy we have sits in the oval office.  I think Osama is well aware that most of the military hates his rotten guts and he, or his handlers are just being prudent and not taking any chances.

Never marched in parade but I know they never use a loaded weapon and I have seen many that were made so could not function. He has reason to fear the people and maybe the military, but he had nothing to do with the condition of the weapon.  I dislike him as much as any one but we need to see the big picture and the true picture so it does not hurt our cause.

This is a non-story, as Secret Service makes all the calls both in-country and out of country as to weapons allowed.  For several decades and especially since Kennedy, the secret service has made this a standing policy and trusts no one.  It's not a WH call. 
 
For those that have served and were in the area of the Pres or VP either in-country or out will know this - all weapons were in lock-down status until they leave the area.  If you pay attention to some photo-ops where the Pres or other high ranking congressman is visiting a base in the sand box, you'll notice there will be no weapons on or around the service members - again secret service call - I don't like it but it's been that way for a long time.

Do you find it weird that a reverend would omit "God" from the pledge of  allegiance?

Though  he is a Baptist minister, the Rev. Al Sharpton's newest   promotional spot for  MSNBC has him omitting "under God" from language he   lifts from the Pledge of  Allegiance to advocate for progressive ideas.

Sharpton, who hosts a show on the left-leaning network, says in the  30-second ad, first noted by NewsBusters:

"We must have a renewed fight for many  of the things we fought for.   Because voting rights, and women's rights, and  the rights of people   against discrimination, whether they're African-American,  Latino,   lesbian and [sic] gay, must be protected, until we have a nation that  is   really living up to the creed of one nation, indivisible, with liberty    and justice for all. Not all of one kind.
