I have been using Buckhammers for a number of years in my 12 Ultra Slug Hunter. Starting about 1 1/2 yrs ago I read they were being discontinued...so I stocked up! Well since then I have read they were NOT discontinued....then they WERE...then people kept finding them on shelves...and some even reported local gun shops saying they would be getting more in. To top it off Remington continues to show them on their website! Having said all this.....I picked the phone up and called Remington Ammo customer service......WHAT A JOKE! I could get more sense out of my 5 year old son!!! I have never in all my life talked to someone so clueless. I was checking on 20ga..and thought might as well inquire about 12 while on the phone......BRAIN OVERLOAD! I was advised the 20's would be produced beginning in March...and the 12's starting in February. When asked what year in February..you would have thought I asked her to recite the emancipation proclamation! Nevertheless, I was more confused after the call than before I picked the phone up......Pathetic! Nevertheless...ended up talking to a Remington Law Enforcement representative....who was VERY NICE...and VERY INFORMED! He said the Buckhammers have in fact been discontinued....and there were no plans to reintroduce them in the near future. He like I could not figure out why they dropped such a good product...that was so well received by so many folks. Thought some of you might appreciate this info.
