« on: February 21, 2013, 11:25:22 AM »
Have 40 cans of Herters powder that I am looking to use for CAS in 38/357 cal & 12ga loads.  Any ideas of how to go about load development, burn rate ect?
Thanks!

Just a word of caution with the old vintage herters powder. We were loading shotgun shells back in the70's and blew up two guns. a browning A-5 and a superposed before we were informed of a recal on the powder we were using . The first one we thought we made a mistake the second time we knew better . they replaced the one gun !! I dont remember the number on the powder . But I would proceed with caution !!!!  Mark
