Someone made it apparently at one time, with a price of $1.36 marked on the can, I'd say it was long ago, an internet search indicates in the 60s.

can anyone tell me about this powder? I picked up some old 1 lb powder cans. Price marked on one was $1.36. they were all empty except one, a sealed can of reloder 11. Thanks for any info.

:) Shaggybull,  You have to be a certain age to know about RL11.   I think I still have 2-3 1lb. cans of it left.  It is sealed in an old British ammo box.  I think it is circa 1971-72.  I have about a half pound can and the powder still "smells" good.  Used some about a year ago.

I've recently acquired a deceased friends load room and found he had 14 lbs of RL 11 was wondering if anyone had used it before.  I've opened a couple cans and the powder still smell good.  There is even and old sierra load book with the powder listed within.  I'm finding several calibres I haven't seen. I have dies for 41 long colt, and have brass for 38 long colt, 351 win, I know he had a 351 win rifle but his son sold it.
