Some frinds and I were at a local rifle range yesterday to fireform some new Norma brass for the 12VBSS.
I went to Graf's earlier and picked up the cheapest components I could find to load for this.
I didn't expect anything great accuracy wise but we found that we were getting a lot of cloverleafs and horizontal touching groups (It was very windy and gusting) at 100 yds.
If you are looking for a good hunting load you might try this.
Fed. 210 primers
NobelSport Tubal 7000 61.5 gr.
Winchester 180 gr. Power Points.
My cost for 100 rnds. was $25.00. Not counting brass.
Pretty cheap entertainment for 5 guys over 4-5 hours at the range.
NOTE: I understand that NobelSport is out of busines and the reason the powder is priced at $10.00 a pound is because Graf's bought existing inventory at close-out prices. If you like NS powder you should lay in your stock while it is still available.
