   Tehran: Iran has tested unmanned aerial vehicles including suicide drones, Xinhua reported.  The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force tested different asymmetric tactics and UAVs during military drills in the country’s east, it quoted Fars news agency as saying.  The IRGC started a three-day military drill, code-named Great Prophet 8, Saturday.

Seems the japs perfected that in WW2. It ain't new technology

Is what Iran does really a problem for the US? Or should we just quit worrying about them until they become an actual problem for the US. Let Israel do what they need to do. If Iran has nukes, so what? If they wanted nukes they could buy them from countries like Pakistan, Chinam, or North Korea, right?

So can we assume by suicide they mean - they send a drone our way and it will be suicide for them ?

I agree( seems to be a trend today). Israel will do what they need to do when they think they need to do it. All this fandango about stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons is just a waste of time. As far as forgetting about Iran until they become a problem......We had that same idea about Japan in 1941.   ::)

Good point about 1941. There was institutionalized complacency. I remember reading that the US Army in 1939 was smaller than the Portugese army. There was a pacifist movement between the world wars in US and Europe because people were sick of the world war. It's a wonder that we were lucky to have guys like Patton and Eisenhower in military studies during the teens and 1920s.
 
So maybe some vigilance is the best policy.

We have them , they had women on the side generals still do. Difference back in the day the military was given a job and politicans stepped back out of the way.

I know they had their faults and made mistakes. And I am sure that there are good men in the military now. But men like Patton, Marshall, Eisenhower, and the like led the great generation that saved the world. Their misconduct in their personal lives aside, they got the job done.

In VN the military was ask to do an almost impossible job. They were ask to win the hearts of the South and defend aginst the insergents from the north and elsewhere . Problem was telling who was on which side .

Well I am certainly thankfull that the standing army policy was ignored in 1941.
