sights for a .22
« on: February 27, 2013, 10:40:16 AM »

like a lot of others here  as i get older  im finding my eyes just dont work as well as they used to .
and that brought a question to my mind .

does anyone make a adjustable peep sight meant to go in the reciever  grooves on a .22 rifle  meant for a scope mount .

i realy do hate to give in to old age and buy a scope .. i still enjoy using iron sights

I have a williams peep on my 39a that mounts on the receiver and is adjustable. someone else may know of one that will mount in the grooves. Skinner has a peep that I put on my 44 mag lever gun that works. check with them they are a sponser here, and may can help you there.

Thats what I have on my Henry H-001T. I had to put a taller front sight on to make it work. I went with a Williams fire sight on the front. It is a good upgrade.
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

In addition to the Foolproof, Williams makes a Guide Sight model that mounts in grooved receivers.

Slightly more compact than the Foolproof, but not as convenient to adjust.  Pretty good chance either one of them will require a taller front sight.

LOL. That site I posted is on MY Henry!!  I also have a Hi-Vis front site. Stock height. And it shoots right on at 50 yards.

You can swap aperatures out for ones with different sizes too. I ordered a smaller one for target when I ordered mine but the stock one seems to work best for me.
