Walmart 223 Federal Red Box Ammo Update

The Walmart in Olathe, KC Metro Southwest, has Federal 55g FMJ 100 round bulk boxes for $39.95 and it looks like brass cases to me. I bought a box, so I guess there is a 223 in my future.

Also (shows you how long since I have been in that Walmart to look at CF ammo), is the Federal Red Box (not Fusion) the replacement for the Federal Blue Box?

Take a look at the headstamp.  Many are marked LC and have crimped primers.  Not a biggie, but the pockets have to be swaged or reamed to seat new primers, if the pockets are crimped.

Bought 2 boxes, just checked 'em.  No crimp and headstamp is FC.
