The Boss is correct, eventually that fascist will want them all registered but I think he is gonna be breathing outhouse fumes if he thinks that will ever happen.  Consistent with a kalifornika gun law that sparked massive civil disobedience by by Ca gun owners by not registering and the like, 65% of the state's 4.75 million gun owners (or about 310 million)  have said they will not register, making this the largest and most massive outbreak of civil disobedience in the history of the country.  The nysp do not have a data base for registering long arms and may not be able to obtain the necessary information from the counties to even develop a statewide register of handguns much less rifles.

prince andrew may be adamant about his new law but it/he has not yet faced the lawsuits brought by the NYSRAPA or the NRA.  He will never sign a repeal of a law he authored no matter how rediculous it is.  he is as bad a fascist as his father was and that creep refused to back off anything until the courts told him to and we may have to wait for the courts to cuff him first.  The repeal bill by state rep Marchione of Halfmoon was/is a good start but it is the lawsuits that will sink him.

In the interim, a comparison of the violations of his new law with those involving child porn and kidnapping, show that his penaties are worse.  Go figure.  This guy is such a tyrant that having more rounds in a magazine than he wants you to will get you more time in prison than child rape.

One thing is certain - we need lots more of those rallies in albany to tip this creep over the edge of his fantasy and into a pure frothing at the mouth insanity.  The more we rail against him the more outrageous he becomes and the less people listen to him.  I think he is trying to climb out of the very deep hole he dug for himself with this law and I no longer doubt that both hillary and obama set his dumb butt up to take the fall that he never saw coming.  He had or still has, to show you how arrogant he is, plans/thoughts/fantasies for the white house in 16 but with this stupid law hanging off his neck he will never, ever get the upper hand on hillary if she decides to run (and she will) and since she backed off the campaign trail in 08 to give obama a clear field the dems now owe her bad and I can almost guarantee that if she takes to the campaign trail in 16, prince andrew will never have a chance.  Hell, if the fools in this country elect a half black half American they will certainly return hillary to the White House; besides, idiots like that just luv ol bill, who never had sex with Monica.......

I believe any semi auto rifle, shotgun or hand gun that has a removable mag that can hold more than 10 rounds and has at least one of the evil features ( pistol grip, barrel shroud, adjustable stock, threaded barrel and flash suppressor) I may have missed some and hand guns are a little difference. A 10 22 Ruger with wood stock no problem but put a stock on it that looks like and AR style and it  becomes an " Assault rifle"
They have a web page that is useful and has pictures and description. It is listed on here.

Of course our handguns are already registered..

Ironglow:  handguns may already be registered with the individual county of licnesure but not with the state police data base and some of the counties may not be willing to kick over that data since it violates a earlier provision of somebody's law that says the state cannot retain firearm purchase data, and yada yada.

I think the push for the state is to get you to register your handgun with the state so the state can offer or provide a 'state' ccw permit but I think that applies only to handguns that have magazine wells in front of the trigger guard (assault pistols), and/or a threaded barrel for attachments.  All other pistols with a magazine that holds more than 7 rounds cannot be loaded with more than 7 rounds while in public - I believe that greaseball governor we have is willing to make a exception for that when the pistol is in the house, just like he wants to make a exception for hollywood idiots to make violent films using the type of weaponry we are no longer allowed to have.

As for your 10/22 - no more than 7 rounds in the mag unless you are at a incoprporated range or a registered match event and your 10/22 becomes a assault rifle if it wears a military type stock or a provision for a barrel attachment.

Basically, there are about 3.10 million gun owners in nys who have already said they are not going to comply with the requirement for registration.  And the gov't is already facing two lawsuits that have not yet been heard, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the state to figure out what the hell it wants to do.

Oh yeah, native American lands are exempted as they are 'reserved', so I s'pose that if we want full auto firearms and heavy hitting anti-vehicle devices we should get them there, 'cause you don't think that either they or the blacks will ever surrender anything do ya? ???

Somebody should tell stupid comrade Cuomo that he will likely lose much tax money if he wants a background check for ammo.
A couple monthas ago I spoke of starting an outdoor/camping/cutlery store..specializing in a huge variety of rimfire ammo.  Right now, that whole plan is on hold..because I realize no hunter/sportsman will want a background check every time he/she wants to buy a box of .22s.
If stupid's plan goes into effect, the ammo sales will almost assuredly move to the reservations..along with the gas, booze and cigarettes.  Bordering states will also benefit!

If the reservations take over ammo sales, I wonder if the state will still get their Pittman-Robertson funds for conservation.
Stupid may have thrown away a lot of money which would be going to the state.. :o :P

Ironglow - they don't care how stupid something is, like the psychiatric evaluation and insurance requirements and like those two bills being sponsored now in florida.  They don't care if you think something is stupid, all they want to do is to be able to control you and have you unarmed so they can tax you and control you as they wish.  They are nothing but filthy commies and fascists and they should all be burned out and run the hellout of town or state.  I think the next time we schedule a 10,000 man rally in albany that we should take enough gass to burn the damnplace to the ground and force the moronic assembly idiots to operate out of their hometown office where their constituents can get right into their faces for stupid laws and proposals, or burn their damn offices and make them work out of internet cafes.

I think about the best place for herr commisar kwomo is new york chity, trying to run the gov't from there.  that pizza greaser does not belong to upstate or the taxpayers in this state, he belongs with people like shumer and gillibrand suckin' up free air from the street vents.

I think the next rally should be a lot louder than the last one and there should be some damn decent motivational speakers there to decry every single stupid thing this greaseball governor has foisted upon us.  There is no difference between him, mussolini, hitler or stalin - they are all control freaks and worse.  Me, I'm still hopin' we can burn albany on the next go around.  Anyone got a match???
