model 317 accuracy ?
« on: March 29, 2013, 06:34:17 PM »
Can anyone tell me if there is THAT much difference in accuracy 'tween the 3" bbl on the Kit Gun and the Std model with 1 7/8" bbl?

I need to hit a baseball each shot, from 8-10 ft.

Also, is the fiber optic sight on the Kit Gun prone to break?

Thanks

John

PS-I asked this on the Rimfire forum as well, THEN found this forum......(knucklehead)

I had the short barrel version and couldn't hit anything with it. I sold it, and got the 3" and it is very accurate. I can keep 8 shots in a 4" circle at 20 yards, not feet, yards. I am by no means a great pistol shot either.

bluedog6, was the front sight on the shorter one silver colored? I had Dave Clements do the front sight on my 63 for this very reason, I couldn't see it.
