Red Dawn 2012
« on: March 16, 2013, 04:09:15 AM »
I finally got to watch this on PPV last night . Very bogus , badly in search of a believable bad guy.
I had heard the original intent was the Chinese but after they protested that it was changed to
N Korea . What got me was where were all the home grown weapons ?
The partisans were reduced to a bunch of deer rifles at first having to scavenge weapons from the
enemy . Oh yea , drop into Dallas Texas like that and see what will happen to you !
Shooting up the place and the locals , ain't gonna happen like this .

And the movie depicted the local LE as a couple of Barney Fife types armed only with a side arm .
Set in Washington state where anyone that has ever been there knows that state has its own
back woods hillbillies that would have these Koreans squealing like pigs real fast .
Here it would be the Apachie , and these are not the Dances with wolves Indians .
With their casino revenue they have become very well armed over the years and would draw any
invader out into the deserts where the real war would commence.

The psychological tactics they would use alone would defeat any invader within a few weeks time .
Solders would just start to disappear and if you found them there wouldn't be much left to bury .
The Apachie warrior is still consiterd the best guerrilla fighter that ever lived on his own turf.
It would be interesting to watch that's for sure . And could you imagine the swamps of LA ?
You would find your solders hanging upside down from trees gutted like hogs !
If they were not used to feed the pet alligators !

It's way too late for the N. Koreans to invade us here in Washington state; the Mexicans beat them to it a long time ago.  And up around Seattle I think the Chinese have a head start too.

As for those Koreans encountering Apaches--hey, those are some scary dudes--the Apaches I've seen.  Most of them look like they're up around 400 pounds, but maybe that's because they've been feasting on too many of those casino buffets.  Them little rice pickers would be a tasty snack.

I tried to watch it but the excessive camera movement was waay too much. About the lack of weapons thing, maybe they write and film what they hope will soon be.

Oh we have our trouble with the Mexicans for sure. But not on or near the Apachie Nation there is
an age old hatred between these two .
Its said it wasn't so much the white man that stopped the early advance of Mexico into these lands .
As it was the Apachie long before any white man ever showed up .
There is a museum here in Roswell called the Robert Goddard museum . If your ever here its a must
see about this part of the American west .
It covers this extensively as well as the fates of the Buffalo Solders who died around here .
And the Conquistadors , no one got very far around here for century's until President Grant poured
hundreds of phony soldiers into this place .
By the way , the Apache were one of the few Native American tribes that were allowed to retain
their ancestral homeland as a condition of their surrender .
Anyway the movie stinks and isn't factual on anything having to do with the real world .
