Could be posted as a Kimber
« on: March 16, 2013, 08:39:42 AM »
  If you see one of these rifles available for a fair price.. don't hesitate..  I had one in the mid 1970s and it shot like a Kimber, now my son has it..it will stay in the family.  I understand it was produced by the man who runs Kimber, while he was still living in Australia..
  I am speaking about the Winchester 320 of course...a real shooter.  There is a single shot model (the 3100.

Nice classic looking rifle.  Very model 70sh stock.  Remember when all guns where blued steel and walnut....

Kimber of Oregon rifles can use the Winchester 320 magazines, cheaper and easier to find.

Right Flyn;
      That is how I discovered the origins of the 320 Win...when I spent some time trying to find a spare mag for the Winnie..
  As I said, if you happen to run into one at a decent price, grabit..  You won't regret it..
      These were the rivals to Remingtons 514 bolt action .22s.  It is a pity neither Winchester nor Remington are presently producing a bolt action rimfire for the average hunter,,

I have one that I bought brand new in 1973, I paid $42 for it.  I was tempted to buy second one at another gun shop but they wanted more for it and I passed on it.  I now of course wish I had bought the second one to go with mine.  My understanding of the Win 310, 320 and the Win 325 (22Mag) is the same as Ironglows.  Mine will remain in my posession till my passing then will go to my son and grandson.  Mine likes the CCI Subsonic HP's the best for ammo.
Good Shooting,
George

   You've got one!  Mine was bought new about 1975..  My wife gave it to me for a present, because I had been desiring one for a long time, thus I knew even then it retailed for $55  in 1975..  What a bargain!  Wish now I had bought 5 or 10 more!

.....  But then, hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20!  ;D
