I had a 410 Pardner that I cut down to 20", crowned it and had it drilled and tapped. I put a 4x Simmons on it and it shot really good with slugs.
If I had known someone who could rifle the barrel I would still have it today. There are some good 41 caliber bullets for reloading.
It'd be nice is H&R would just make a 410 Tracker II barrel.

This thread made me chuckle.  In my area I've had several old-timers tell me you can shoot .45 Colt in a .410 shotgun.  Don't know anyone who actually did it tho.  GW

Likely the old story of, 'if it fits in you can shoot it' thing.........or, the brother in law of my uncles friend John did it once (and got away with it once, so it works, right!).
I think a 444 Marlin will drop in, should I shoot it or have I lost my mind?

I once saw an old H&R barrel that was marked 44-410. It was smooth bore and made to shoot 44 shotshells or 410 shells. I wouldn't shoot a 45LC in a regular 410 barrel but that's just me. Might get away with it if you were using dead soft lead bullets but it ain't worth the risk far as I'm concerned.

Since this is so important!

1. Bought a .410. Have a Ruger 45 colt. wanted a matching rifle. I just do!
2. Don't want a mag to reload.
3.Yes I do as per question 1. looking for part 2
4.I ask because I am ignorant
5.Don't have any idea, never checked diameter of these. If you are being a smart aleck I don't understand the need to be!

Maybe we should just trade Spanky!

sorry if it came out wrong....see#5
1- 45lc dropped right into my 410 hnr....i'd be afraid to shoot it..might try a patched ball
3-  i shoot patched round balls[OO buck] in 38 revolvers for fun...try a bigger ball in the colt
4-   we are all losing our minds here
5-    proof i am  loosing my mind too...why would i do this....loading  odd projactiles in a 28ga or 32ga.....but duplex 50 cal patched round balls is what i will try first......tho none are an improvement over common 20ga.......i must be ''out of my mind to even  own a 32ga pardner
