I have searched all through the FAQS and must be blind because it's had to have been asked....
I have a barrel that locks up tight on one frame but not at all on another frame...why is this?

Each barrel is hand fitted at the factory, tolerances are not tight enough to be interchangeable like an encore. That's why an H&R cost half as much.
That being said some do lock up fine, some don't, some will with modification. It's hit and miss.
