What is the difference?

between the 1895 and the 1895 SS? Don't they both have pistol grips, 22 " barrels, and checkering? I can't see any difference. I think Marlin lists this gun as the 1895.
I'm thinking of buying an 1895 SS from a guy at my gun club.

I'm not sure, but weren't the Marlin1895SS the .45-70 chambering with Micro-Groove rifling?
The current 1895 have Ballard-type rifling (easier to get good cast bullet accuracy).
