OK Cajuns, help me out...

  The scene..Troy Landry (or any other gator hunter) is out in the swamp and his partner has hauled the gators head up out of the water.
  Troy swings that Marlin 60 into action..and there is one scene the videos don't show very well. so that leads to a question.
        Question: Can you tell me exactly where he has to place the "kill shot" ?

IG, I am not a "Cajun", but am originally from Louisiana!
 One spot for a kill shot on a gator is a spot just behind the eye socket, another is a shot approximately at the juncture of the back of the skull and the backbone!

OK little known fact, I spoke French before English. Lived in Pierre Part(where Troy is) as a child. Grew up in the swamps of Louisiana. and Southeast Texas.

Streak nailed it. However the film footage for that show is really dramatized. You slowly raise the head to the surface, gently. dont wanna make em crazy. Then pop em in the head with a 22 or 22 mag.pistol or rifle. Guess they have to make it dramatic to make the ratings.

 How far south are you in S.E. Texas?
I am originally from N.W. Louisiana about 32 miles N.W. of Shreveport. I have property in Cass County, E.Texas. Not to far from Black Bayou, few gators reside in there too!!

A little north of Beaumont, South of Jasper about 45 minutes from the Lakes. Yea, those "smileagators" roam all of this country down here. Every once in a while someone will call me to come remove one from a fish pond. Ususally after it had eaten their dog!

   The way "Adolph" Cuomo is screwing things up around here, I sometimes regret that I left Texas..  Many good folks there..
